Bully or Victim. Where's the real question?

Quiz time: Over the past couple of weeks, we've had a series of articles about what topic?

Think for a moment and answer the question in your own mind. Then click through and you'll see how I answer it. You'll also see why I wrote the articles from the perspective I did.

And, I'll give you some tips on extracting the same kind of information I just did in this series -- to answer the infinite number of very personal questions that come up in your own life from day to day.

Bully or victim. The clue is right there. I'd describe our recent set of articles like this:

"How to hold your own against a bully."

Of course there are a number of ways we could word it and mean about the same thing. The point is, I've been exploring a number of different ways you and your loved ones can empower yourselves. How to call upon your "Inner Warrior." And how to use that strength to stand up against a bully -- whether the name of that bully is kid on the playground, financial distress, ill health, or any number of other situations or entities.

Now let's get down to it, shall we?

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt like you were being treated unfairly, taken advantage of, or being bullied around? Most of us have, of course.

What was your inner conversation when that happened? Did you ask yourself the question "How can I stand up against this bully and powerfully prevail?"

You might have. But frankly, most people don't. Instead, they go on and about how life isn't fair ... this big, bad person did them wrong ... they don't want things to keep on the way they have been ... blah, blah, blah.

That's right. They go on and on about what they don't want, which is to be a victim. But the kicker is this. The more you go on and on about what you don't want, the more you validate the energy of that exact situation! In this case, being a victim.

You intuitively know this. Would you have been half as interested in a series of articles about "How not to be a victim" as you were in a series of articles about "How to prevail against a bully"?

The answer is no.

The reason why is simple. You want to learn to empower yourself. And "How to prevail against a bully" supports you in doing just that. It helps you deal with a particular type of lifestyle stress that has the ability, if unmanaged, to compromise your health, wealth, and quality of life.

Wouldn't you like to learn how to take the same kind of perspective on stress yourself? So that the next time life pings you in the face, your immediate response is, "Hey, buster - why don't you just go pick on someone else. Because you're not taking me out!"

I hope you're answering "yes," because I'm about to give you a big hint on what that perspective requires from you. Bottom line, you've got to begin to look at the challenges in your life as a series of unanswered questions.

And if you're thinking "yes," you're in luck. Two of the original Word Cures products were designed to support you in doing just that:

Stress In The Background: How to Thrive in a High Stress World - an e- and audio book (you get both) that helps you explore how stress sneaks into your life, sometimes without your even recognizing it, and what it does when it gets there. It's even got it's own chapter on recognizing the unspoken questions in your life.

Ultimate Stress-Buster Kit - a comprehensive system for enhancing the intution you need to answer those questions, then making the choice to act on what you know. The best part? It includes and "Objective Opinion Certificate" that entitles you to a short consultation with me by email to help you apply the material from the kit in your very own life. (And if you've done much exploration of this subject already, you know this is the tricky part!)

So what are you waiting for? Empower yourself!
