Stress and Personal Conflicts

Stress and personal conflicts. A few days ago, we began a conversation about What Stress Means to You. The initial question came from a reader who wondered how, in my view, stress and energy medicine come together.

Today, I'd like to explain. We'll start with one of the 6 Wellness Opportunities I introduce to all my Healthy Living Update subscribers in the Transform Stress Into Power guide and expand on in Challenging The Shaman (part of the Ultimate Stress-Buster Kit). Resolve personal conflicts and power struggles.

Specifically, we're going to look at personal conflicts of one specific type. Conflicts within yourself. My opinion and observation is that this type of personal conflict results in more icky results in life than all the other types of stress combined.

Why?

Simple.

Because you know better!

When you believe you should act in one way and instead do something else, you create huge problems for yourself. You compromise your honor and integrity, which inevitably will lead to health challenges. View the Health Decay Cycle chart that shows how.

The simple solution should be obvious.

Determine what you believe in and act in accordance with your beliefs.

To me, this one statement is the foundation of the practice of Energy Medicine. It's my underlying goal for you in nearly any article, book, audio, course, or coaching program I create for your benefit.

It's a simple statement, for sure. But putting it into practice can be a little tricky. We don't always consciously know what we believe. And the part that often comes up missing, until we've taken the time to really work it through, is articulating your personal commitments.

  • Who are you and what do you stand for?
  • What commitments do you subscribe to as part of your birthright?

If you've explored the e/audio-book Stress In The Background: How to Thrive in a High-Stress World, then this should sound very familiar. If not, check it out. It's pretty hard to live in accordance with your beliefs if you're not crystal clear about what they are.

On the positive side, once you do clearly understand what your basic commitments are in life, decision-making gets a whole lot easier! Sound good?
