Wellness Coaching: Top 10 Reasons to Start

1. You're feeling the stress in your life ... from "something" that nags in the back of your mind. Like you "could" be putting action behind it, yet it never seems to get done. For example:

One of my favorite revelations among participants with this goal is that ... sometimes ... it's not about the food. In fact, one person created a project plan to include more fun in her life and ended up "losing" 17 pounds. (Ok, that was in the plan, too.)

My favorite story here is the woman who told her sister she was going to re-do the whole house in just 3 months. "Right," her sister said, rolling her eyes. According to this participant, the look on her sister's face was priceless when she saw they'd (she and her husband worked as a team) actually pulled it off!

4. You want to improve your finances. Whether it's meeting a short-term goal, starting a business, or beginning the path to financial independence, this is another popular reason people participate. One woman set a modest-yet-challenging goal to raise a certain amount for her son's graduation. She made it. And the coolest thing was that some of the money came from a completely unexpected source!

5. To complete a creative project. One of our participants had actually taken a leave of absence from her job to write a book. Yet the book wasn't getting written. Well guess what? It's done now.

6. Your relationships aren't what you'd like them to be. Sometimes relationship issues occur as "mysteries" in people's lives. Either you meet someone or you don't. You stay together or you don't. Well guess what? You've got something to say about it, too! As one participant said in her end-of-session feedback, "Goal: not divorced. Score: 100%"

7. You want to feel better about yourself. Did you know that you can dramatically increase your self esteem by living a life you're proud of? It's true! When you learn to trust that you're a count-on-able person whose word is good, your self-esteem will soar. Try it!

8. You want to have more fun. You know the old way of tackling a pressing project. Make a giant to-do list. Look at the enormity of your task. Check off a couple items and take a nap. Well guess what? The system we use for these projects cuts through all that. As one participant said, "when you lay it out like this, I believe I can do it."
