Fall '08 wellness coaching begins on Monday, September 15th. Is this the right time for you? Over the past week, I've had a number of conversations with people who said they'd really like to bump their life up a notch this fall. But...
But what?
Depends. And there's the rub. You know what I sometimes hear? The very thing that's getting in the way of the person doing wellness coaching would make an absolutely fabulous project!
Things like these:
- Taking care of elderly parents.
- Job demands.
- Clearing clutter from the house in preparation for downsizing.
- Too busy with the kids.
- Trying to get a new business started or find a different job.
In essence what they're telling themselves is "I'd really like to focus more attention on my health, but my life keeps getting in the way." Now think about it. Isn't that what wellness is all about? Managing multiple priorities and still having the time and energy to take care of you.
What if the very most profitable step you could take toward improving your health was cleaning out the basement? Or getting a new job? Or getting the kids more involved in building their own college fund?
For many people, it is. Because once that gets straightened out, your stress level will begin to even out. You'll develop more confidence in your ability to take an important project from start to finish. And you just might feel more like preparing that healthy dinner for your family.
What about it? We start on Monday. If you're reading this and it's Monday, you're not too late.
