Hey, Elizabeth. If creating a healthy lifestyle is so easy, then how come I can't seem to motivate myself to do it? Let's distinguish between "simple" and "easy." Making healthy lifestyle choices is very simple. You figure out what's good for you and then you do it. End of story. Unfortunately, many of us have a longer story than that. Usually it starts out like this, "I'm sure I could do it ... if only _______ didn't keep getting in the way." Beyond that, it might go something like this:
If it was easy, surely you would have done it by now. Yet you can get the importance, or you wouldn't be reading this page. Here's the thing. You're being driven by your old rules about what worked at one time for somebody, but isn't working for you now. You need new rules. You may need help formulating them.
